IGNOU BCA(Bachelor of Computer Applications) is a semester based 3 years program with a total number of 6 semesters. The goal of the program is to help students who finished 10+2 and want a career in computing/IT. After getting a BCA degree at IGNOU, student can continue studying with an MCA at IGNOU or a Master’s Program at another school. Also, completing the BCA program prepares you for entry-level jobs in Information Technology or ITES.

BCA Modes of Study
At IGNOU, Student can do the BCA program in two ways: ODL (Online Distance Learning) and OL (Online Learning).
In ODL, you can download study materials pdf books or they send you actual books to your address. in this mode You have to write your assignments at home and submit them to your study center. You can join the classes at the study center offline on weekends.
For OL, it’s different. You use a special online portal called Learning Management System (LMS) to attend classes and submit your handwritten assignments pdf online.
Note- in both modes exam will be offline at exam center.
IGNOU BCA Admission Process 2024-2025
IGNOU Has Two Admission Cycle, means Any Candidate who wants to take the admission can join the IGNOU BCA programs in two different times during the year, in July or in January. This way, students can pick the cycle that works best for them and fits their situation.
